Kite Beach Senior Sunset — The Last Light of a Chapter

There’s something about sunsets that feel like soft endings… and beginnings at the same time. Our Senior Sunset at Kite Beach wasn’t planned to be emotional, but somehow the sky decided otherwise.

The sky turned into this pastel painting, peach, lavender, a little bit of gold, and the Burj Khalifa stood in the distance like a tiny pencil sketch against the haze. Birds flew in perfect formation, almost like they were performing just for us.
We spread out on the sand, half laughing, half pretending we weren’t all savoring the moment just a little more than usual.

The Burj Al Arab was glowing softly on the horizon, and the whole beach felt alive, families playing, people taking photos, friends sitting in circles talking about everything and nothing… the kind of vibe that makes you forget how fast time is moving.
I kept looking at the sky, trying to freeze it in my mind. It wasn’t one of those dramatic fire-orange sunsets, but something gentler, like a goodbye whispered instead of shouted.
Watching the last bit of light melt into the water made me realize how close we are to the end of this chapter of school. Somehow, being by the sea made it feel less scary… like change is just another wave you learn to stand in front of.

We stayed until the sky turned a deep blue and the first stars began to peek through. And for a moment, everything felt still, no exams, no university stress, no rush. Just us, the ocean, and a sunset that decided to show up beautifully for our last year.
If every ending looked like this, I don’t think I’d ever be afraid of new beginnings.
